Just wanna say, stifle effects are very good in formats like modern and timeless. Countering your opponents fetchland is absurdly powerful Playing slower control decks in MKM and OTJ limited has really given me an appreciation for life gain. After a million lightning fast formats with crazy aggro decks, MKM finally gave us a bunch of midrangey creatures with life gain stapled on to them and they all overperformed. Fabricate was AMAZING in mirrodin block. You got access to the artifact you need. Skull clamp to get card advantage, Cranial plating, or your Ravager to finish the game.

Flash the mechanic doesn't come up rarely. It's like an evergeen keyword now

Stifle and stifle like effects should 100% be played more. Negating an ability is much stronger than people seem to understand (at least in mtg, ygo players probably know how good it is)

Lovely idea ! Following the train: "Cards that get better the more you put in a deck" (like, Rite of Flame, which is a pity to be limited to 4 copies in a deck) Similarly, "Cards you want the fewer as possible (min 1)"

Undying should had been featured alongside Persist as they are basically different takes on two very similar keywords. Crime/Punishment is a three color spell not a two color. Would be cool if you wouldn't mind doing a list of cards that "explain a keyword" without actually using the keyword. i've been looking to collect such cards and i'm sure there's more than 10 of them. Edgar's Awakening for example, it's "madness" without being the keyword.

"Green has been a powerful color since the start of Magic." As someone who played almost from the the start, there was a long, LONG period where Green was so bad that it was joked that Magic had only four colors. Go back and play Shandalar and see how many Green cards you're playing by the end of the game.

Explore is also a much better topdeck late in the game as it essentially cycles while Rampant growth only gets you another land

I don’t care if they say “Rain of Gore” doesn’t trigger off Lifelink. I recognize that the council has made a decision. But it’s a stupid-ass decision and I’m electing to ignore it.

21:13 actually, Magic *is* doing that pivot but in a much subtler way, by having all strongest creatures in the meta be legendaries that can *also* be used as Commanders.

I like these videos for brief explanations of silly things Wizards have done but it's very difficult to take your word on these things when you don't pronounce the names properly: Eladrin? Bulger? Bed evil? Also saying "X + Black Lotus is broken" seems redundant

i wish the "wish" cards (and cards like them, looking at you Karn) would let you interact with cards that were exiled. it would balance the game. However, with Nadu, Winged Wisdom existing now i don't think Magic the Gathering is going to thrive anymore. Every format will wish they're problem was "companion" after Nadu's been legal for a while.

Thank you for bringing up the rules change commander made for companions. It was a terrible decision by the RC.

I have a loot the key to everything commander deck with bio visionary in it and it's incredibly easy to win with that card. There are a few cards like rite of replication or doppelgang that instantly allow multiple copies.

City of Shadows is really cracked at stealing and exiling.

As I start watching, I just want to say ante cards better be SOMEWHERE on this list.
